International expansion and growth strategy
SERO GmbH is pleased to have found a recognized and reliable EMS partner in Solid Semecs BV and, with this first step, to put its planned international expansion and growth strategy on a successful path.
Semecs would like to thank the leaving shareholder Rademaker Beheer BV for their ongoing support over the past years! The leadership and dedication of Rademaker has enabled Semecs to perform, grow and position itself well in the a competitive market.
SERO GmbH
SERO GmbH is specialized in high-volume orders, pursues a strategy of healthy growth. In addition to the automotive industry, which currently accounts for 85% of the company's turnover, the focus is deliberately directed towards the industrial segment. In addition to the assembly of printed circuit boards a holistic industrialization concept as well as the offer of further processing steps such as painting, montage, casting and final montage (box-building) are requested. SERO GmbH has already invested significantly in these areas in the past few months.
Solid Semecs BV
Through the acquisition of Semecs, additional production capacities, a strengthening of the market position through higher purchasing volumes and new skills were gained. Semecs specializes in medium-volume and manual activities and, in addition to IATF 16949, is also certified for manufacturing, including processes like coating, potting, gluing and box building, of medical devices (ISO 13485). We are thus supplementing the SERO portfolio with a range of services tailored to industrial and medical customers. Semecs currently generates 85% of sales in the industrial and medical sectors and 15% in the automotive industry. Furthermore, Semecs has a cost-competitive production site in Slovakia, an engineering center in the Netherlands and sales offices in Germany and Denmark.
Combining forces
The combination of the two EMS specialists ensures a strong and competitive presence in Europe with a wide range of manufacturing services across various market segments. The Semecs customer base, weighted complementarily to SERO, also creates a more balanced customer portfolio for both sides.
Under a new umbrella brand, we will build a company that will meet the requirements of the automotive, industrial and medical sectors and that will combine the core competencies of both companies. The purchase is currently subject to the approval of the antitrust authorities. As soon as this approval is given, joint teams from both companies will design the integration process.
